"I feel it has been a privilege to take this class, especially when it was taught by such a positive instructor. I can honestly say that self-defense has been the most interesting class I took thus far in my college education. Every week in the past 8 weeks I have looked forward to coming to self-defense. There was only one problem: it only lasted 50 minutes a day, 2 days a week. As far as your training goes, I personally believe it couldn't be any better. You provided the class with several devastating attacks and moved up to some grappling techniques; from there we learned defense moves and reversals. You made sure everyone was on the same pace. Whether it took one on one training or group training. On top of all things, the class remained safe and no one got hurt. Overall, the class and the training was excellent. I feel a lot more confident about myself. I feel this is because I had you as a teacher. Each day you came in the class with a good mood and a smile to make everyone feel comfortable. "Self-defense training was very beneficial to me. After I have taken this class, I find myself walking taller and I find that I have much more confidence when it comes to defending myself. I think this class is very unique. There is no way I would have ever known how to defend myself during an attack. I would have probably just started swinging. "During the last 8 weeks of self-defense, I have really established a sense of self-confidence. A sense that if I was put in the situation of being attacked I would be able to free myself. Throughout the class, you taught us multiple techniques. You tried to prepare us of any possible way we might be attacked, such as directions, grabs, holds, ground fighting, and even how to disarm weapons from an attacker's hands.
